a little bit about me

hi, I’m sara!

I’m passionate about helping others build happy, healthy, and fulfilling relationships. Whether it’s with your partner, family members, or friends, I believe it’s important to nurture these relationships so that we can live a more meaningful life. But more importantly, I also believe that the best relationship you can nurture is the one you have with yourself.

I’ve created this platform in the hopes that it will be a safe space for readers to learn how to improve their relationships and take ownership of their self-development journey.

Whether that means how to communicate your needs to your partner or how to spend more quality time, I’ll be here to help you navigate these questions!

My journey so far

It is a truth universally acknowledged that when a girl grows up watching Disney Princess films, they are sold the promise of happily ever after when they meet Prince Charming.

I was one of those girls. Pop culture continued to sell us this fantasy in the form of romantic comedy films and romance novels. At this point, I had already developed a slight cynicism for romance but it didn’t prevent me from participating in it.

Whether it was discussing the personal details of a crush or how dates went, romantic relationships had been the subject of glee among my girlfriends. It was fun and exciting to talk about! Especially at the initial stages of dating.

However, as I got older, I learned that entering a relationship is easy, but maintaining it is not. Any preconceived ideas I had about love immediately went away once I entered a relationship with my partner. Here are just a few things I’ve learned since being in a relationship:

  • Love is a choice, not a feeling.
  • It’s the little things that will have the biggest impact on your relationship.
  • Growing and maintaining relationships outside of your partnership is just as important to create a more enriching life.

HOW CAN I HELP YOU?

If you’d like to navigate the ups and downs of dating, relationships, and self-development with me, then I hope you will stick around and continue reading!
